We know this is a mistake, yet we repeat it because we think of it as a mistake only on the surface; in our heart, we believe there is happiness in it. This is an inner matter. Outwardly we say: it is unrighteousness, it is sin, it is wrong, I will not do it, I should not do it. But inside, there is the belief that there is happiness. Now no one can stop you. You may acknowledge the mistake a thousand times, but then, outwardly, the matter will continue a thousand times over. It will remain the same. Only on the day your heart realizes: I have seen it—there is no happiness anywhere. From today, I take a vow, relying on God's strength within, that I will not go to such places where I become corrupted.
I will not see such sights through which I fall. I will not eat such food. I will not keep such company. And practice naam jap abundantly. This is the remedy.
