Speak "Radhe Radhe" to one who doesn't speak to you. Bow to one who is angry with you. Wish well for one who wishes you ill. Your heart will become virtuous. You will attain blessed peace. Maharaj Ji, when the heart burns—then gold, when it burns, that's when its radiance emerges. The heart, when it burns, that's when it becomes free of sin. One who endures that burning is a great soul. Desire came, anger came, envy came, hatred came. When we act against these, the heart burns. One who bears that burning becomes a great soul. Maharaj Ji, to forgive him means to bow inwardly, but outwardly it wounds the ego.
So it is ego that must be destroyed. Ego harbors desire, anger, greed, attachment, and hatred—where else do these dwell? We must destroy this house. Destroy this house of ego. You will become free of flaws. All defects dwell in this palace. In the ego of the inner consciousness dwell all these flaws. That is what must be destroyed. This is why we must bow to all.
Siya rammay sab jag jani
Know that all the world is filled with Sita and Ram
karo pranam jor jug pani
Make reverence with all your strength, like the flowing waters of ages
Then you will be free of ego. Then you will become great. Then your heart will be filled with joy. Otherwise, attachment and aversion will keep growing. Worldliness will keep growing.
And yes, if someone accepts even one bow, that's good. Then beyond that, we will bow even more. We will bow more and more. Our bowing will not stop. His attachment and aversion will cease. So we should be spiritual people. Even if someone harbors hatred toward us, we should not harbor hatred in return. It is not fitting for us to harbor hatred on our part. Shri Bhagvan dwells in all. We give a spiritual response. And never think that if we keep forgiving one who harbors hatred, they will continue to harbor hatred.
No, we have seen today that they will begin to love. They will not harbor hatred. They will begin to love. Forgiveness has great power, and forgiveness changes the other person immediately. This forgiveness is spiritual force. It is great force. Not everyone attains it. Those engaged in satsang attain it. If we don't forgive, when someone abuses us once, we want to abuse them twice. When someone abuses us once, we should say "Radhe Radhe" and move on. This is our spirituality. Forgiveness is not weakness, it is great force. Great force—forgiveness makes one strong.
