Who is Shri Harivansh? // 10/04/26
Satsang of Pujya Shri Hit Premanand Govind Sharan Ji Maharaj — To listen to the complete talk, watch the video above.
The Complete Discourse
Glory to Harivansh, glory to Harivansh, glory to Harivansh, hail, hail to Shri Harivansh, glory to Hari, glory to Harivansh, glory to Hari, hail, hail to Shri Harivansh. Guru Harivansh, Harivansh the life-breath, Harivansh the life, Harivansh everything, Guru Harivansh, Hari the life-breath. Glory to Harivansh, glory to Harivansh, glory to Harivansh, glory to Harivansh, hail, hail to Shri Harivansh, glory to Harivansh, glory to Harivansh, glory to Hari, hail, hail to Shri Hari. Shri Harivansh, Shri Sevak Vani.
The fifth chapter on Ishtaradhan that was discussed yesterday—Sevak Ji Maharaj is saying right at the beginning of the Ishtaradhan chapter:
प्रथम प्रणम्य सुरम्य मति बुद्धित प्रशंस
First, bow to the beautiful one; mind, intellect and praise...
प्रथम प्रणम सुरम्यति मन बुद्धित प्रशंस
First, bow to the beautiful one; mind, intellect and praise...
Through reflection on this: to always be praiseworthy through mind and intellect, to always be praised, to always remain pleased—this is very difficult.
If things accord with us, we are pleased. If things go against us, we become displeased and begin to criticize. Complete surrender is a very exalted state. Through sacrifice, Bali Maharaj Ji was worshipping the almighty Lord Shri Hari. Mother Aditi took a vow: "May the Lord remove suffering from our sons." Her sons are the gods. From Kashyap and Aditi, the gods were born. From Kashyap and Diti, the demons were born. When the Lord fulfilled her vow, He took the form of Vaman. What a wonderful account of surrender!
Mind and intellect praise—always through the mind, through the intellect and consciousness comes contemplation. From the mind come resolve and doubt. Why is it this way? Why? The intellect decides: this is right, this is wrong. Sevak Ji says: praise! There is no question of right or wrong in praise. Praise: you are my Lord, my Master, my life, my wealth. Every thing you ordain is correct, O Lord. The Lord came in Vaman form to the sacrificial hall. Accompanied by all the sacred fires, Brahma and the Rishis all stood up. The radiance in Vaman Lord is such that all stand in reverence.
After offering foot-water, worship and obeisance, Bali said: Today is my great fortune. We have never seen such a Brahman. For the first time I see such radiance, such tender youth, and such tremendous power. For what wish have you come to our sacrifice? The Lord said: O King, I am a satisfied Brahman. I do not ask for much. I ask for just three steps of earth from you. Bali granted it and said: Do you know from whom you are asking? You are asking from Bali, the Lord of the three worlds. I can give you world upon world, and you, from your small body, say—but I already told you that I am a satisfied Brahman. Lord Shukracharya Ji said: O Bali, do you know who this is? Do not make this promise.
This is the Lord Himself, Shri Hari incarnate. He will measure the entire universe in one step. After three steps, there is no telling. This is Shri Hari of infinite glory. Do not give. You have said he is very powerful. If he wished, he could forcibly take from us and give the heavens to the gods. Since he has come asking, we cannot lose this chance. If I give, I place a curse on you: may your kingdom and wife be destroyed. May all your wealth be ruined. May you be defeated. Bali said: I accept, I accept. Let me see what unfolds step by step. I accept. I have made my vow.
He told the Brahmins: Recite the mantra. In brief, I tell you: as soon as the Lord accepted three steps of earth from Bali, His form began to expand. In the first step, He reached the world of Brahma. When Brahma Ji saw it, he thought: This is the lotus feet of my Lord, Shri Hari. He immediately washed them and placed them in his water-pot. That became the Ganga. In the second step He measured Rasatala, Talatala, Mahatal, Patala—the netherworlds. From the entire earth to the seven worlds above and seven below, He measured both steps. And toward Bali—the greater donor he becomes, how does it happen? He bound him with Garuda to Varuna in the Varuna-pasa. The Varuna-pasa keeps binding tightly constantly, and terrible death-born suffering occurs. He bound him with the Varuna-pasa and the Lord stood nearby saying: You are becoming such a great donor!
Now complete the third step. Bali Ji joined his hands and said: We have not even bowed to you yet. But how can I bow? You have bound me with the Varuna-pasa. But Lord, you know that wealth and the wealthy are different things. You have measured our wealth in two steps. Come again in that Vaman form and measure me with one step. Let one step rest on my head and measure me. Lord, I am not one who speaks falsehood. The Lord saw—no anger, no fault. There could be anger—in what form did He come asking, and what form has He taken now? After that He bound me with the Varuna-pasa. Where He should have given a reward, He bound me with the Varuna-pasa and speaks such harsh words.
The Lord said: Bali, step on me. The Lord placed His foot on Bali's forehead and said: From this day, I am under your command. Even today the Lord remains in Patala as the gatekeeper of Bali. From the Vaman form, stationed as the gatekeeper, the Lord protects Bali. He is stationed at the post of Upendra in Vaman form. When Ravan came there to conquer, with just one toe he kicked so hard that he was thrown ten thousand yojanas away. Where I protect, you cannot even enter.
To conquer every world—what is surrender? He has taken everything away, He has bound, suffering born of death. The guru has given a curse.
Still, there is neither fear nor anxiety nor sorrow in Bali's heart. And he humbly says to God: we have not even bowed to you yet. You are so gracious. Please place Your third step upon my forehead. The meaning of sharanagati is the surrender of mind, intellect, and consciousness. There is no defect, no lack of praise—only how much mercy! We ask for illness, sorrow, suffering, calamity, disgrace—give whatever you wish. Honor or dishonor, respect or humiliation—let the circumstances be however they are. How much mercy it is! The surrender of mind, intellect, and consciousness. First in reverence, then in beauty, the mind and intellect and consciousness surrender. At the feet, in refuge, forever a servant. Victory, victory to Shri Harivansh! The servant says: I am in the refuge of Shri Harivansh Mahaprabhu, for whom my mind, intellect, and consciousness are ever in praise.
Sharanagati requires being mixed into dust. Let me be dissolved, let my ego be destroyed. When the grain of wheat is mixed into dust and becomes a flower garden, this is how it becomes. Nothing beyond this. Not in the mind, not in the intellect, not in the consciousness—no questions, no doubts, nothing at all. Praise only. Constant praise of His mercy. Oh, how gracious He is! By punishing me, He is purifying me. Oh, how gracious He is! By disgracing me, He is making me pure. Oh, how gracious He is! When God gave Sudama nothing outwardly, as he was returning, if you read in the Bhagavata, he was offering praise.
Saying: my Shri Krishna loves me so much that if He gave wealth to this poor one, I would become arrogant and forget Him, and that would be a flaw in my worship. So my friend loves me so much that He gave me nothing. What boundless mercy He has shown me by giving me nothing! He sent me back empty-handed. That is why He sees no fault. He offers only praise. He did this so that the poor Brahmin, on finding wealth anywhere, would not forget me. Oh, how gracious our friend Shri Krishna is!
Praise from mind, intellect, and consciousness. With mind and intellect and consciousness, the servant is offering praise to his guru, Shri Harivansh Chandra Ji. What the servant says next is very beautiful. Listen to no one. If you understand, understand. Do not try to understand. Listen and become it. Do not try to comprehend. Your intellect is too small. It cannot weigh the ocean. It cannot comprehend the ocean. When He chooses to hide Himself, you cannot recognize Him. What did I think I understood? What is it? If He chooses to hide Himself, we do not have the power to recognize Him.
And when He chooses to reveal Himself, chooses to be recognized, no one has the power to draw a veil. Surrender is necessary everywhere. How small our intellect is! The glory of the Lord, the glory of the guru—it is an endless ocean. How can it be comprehended? What the servant, Maharaj Ji, describes next—all of this is devotion. The Chauraasi Sudha Sindhu—this will only shine in our hearts when there is true devotion. True faith. The servant, the divine word—there is such a thing that if His grace descends, then the essence of the ultimate truth, the nectar of Radha's love, will shine in every fiber of our being. We do not want hell or heaven, not liberation—we want Harivansh. We want our guru.
Harivansh! Abandon everything else, worship only Harivansh. Shri Harivansh! By Harivansh's oath, by Harivansh's pledge! No one but Harivansh! This will only be understood when Harivansh gives His grace, His mercy. Then you will become so surrendered, and what is Harivansh? You see this in the Staar chapter. Steadfastness—Harivansh's glory, strength, courage, splendor—Shri Harivansh has all virtues. That patience which keeps the Lord of Essence and the Lord of Creation under control. That fame which spreads throughout the entire world. That strength which we know how to use, how to employ. That prowess which no one can defeat, and He Himself removes all the wrongs of others. In such a Harivansh I take refuge, through whose mercy the thirst for His name awakens. The longing for His name awakens. The singing of His word, the hearing of His word, the contemplation of His word—and all my actions and their source, which is Shri Harivansh, become my actions now, present before Him. Shri Harivansh, the chosen family deity, the beloved. Harivansh! Shri Harivansh—the embodiment of Radha's love, the treasure of all perfections. Shri Harivansh!
The servant, Maharaj Ji, says: all of us who are Harivanshis are of one house. If you have taken refuge, then now you have no caste. No other lineage. Even in your dreams, do not utter another name. Shri Harivansh is the lineage—all of us are descendants of the great rishis. All of creation is the offspring of these rishis. Now we have received a new spiritual birth. You belong to your guru. To no one else. The only thing is to have faith. See, the faith you have—the greater your surrender, the greater will be the awakening of your capacity to attain God. This is your new birth. You have no caste, no lineage, no mother, no father.
So where were you born? You were born from your guru. In this birth of ours, our father is the guru, our mother is the guru, our friend is the guru, our beloved is the guru, our life-force is the guru, our mind is the guru, our intellect is the guru, our consciousness is the guru, everything is our guru. In the biography of Chaturavaas Das Ji, there is an episode that most saints know. A thief from the royal service stole the wealth of a rich man and fled. The royal authorities pursued him. In just the same way, Chaturavaas Das Ji, a great and famous sage, conducted his spiritual discourse. Wherever he went, he would make the inhabitants of entire regions his disciples. He would make the inhabitants of entire regions his disciples. He would make everyone a Vaishnava. There was such a rule: if there is no Vaishnava in a village, do not drink its water. If there is at least one Vaishnava, we will take water at least from the well. But if there is not even one Vaishnava, we will not take water from that village. We will not even drink water that has been touched or handled by one who has not received diksha. The Vaishnavas had such strict discipline. Chaturavaas Das Ji taught that the soul's purification and new birth is considered supreme. When one receives diksha, all the sins of one's past are destroyed.
While this same discourse was ongoing, the thief thought to himself that this bhagavatic assembly is an excellent opportunity to hide. So he immediately went and sat in the middle of the discourse. Silently, listening. The words entered his ears. Through diksha, the soul is born anew. All the sins of the past are destroyed. He heard just this much and began to reflect—meanwhile, the royal officials had seen him enter, but why would such a thief sit in a discourse? They left. The discourse ended. He went to Chaturabhuj Das and said, "Maharaj, honestly, I am a great thief. I have committed violence. I have done terrible sins. First let me tell you who I am. You just said in satsang that when a soul takes diksha, he is born anew. If I take diksha, will my rebirth be counted? Will my sins be destroyed?" He said, "Yes. Take the vow that from today you will not steal." He said, "Taken." "You will not lie." He said, "Taken." "You will not steal and you will speak the truth." He said, "Go. From today, all your past sins are destroyed. Your rebirth is here. Get your head shaved. Take diksha now." He immediately gave diksha. Even though this man is a sinner right now—can his intellect change in a minute? But now that he takes diksha, he will become surrendered to Harivansh. His welfare will come. Mahaprabhu will look after him. Diksha was given. The next day he was wearing the twelve tilaks, walking around in Radhavallabh dress. "This is my new birth. I am sinless." The royal officials caught him. The wealthy man also saw. He said, "This is the thief." He was presented as a prisoner before the king. The wealthy man said, "This is the thief. He is acting—shaving his head and pretending to be a sadhu and Vaishnav to hide himself. This is the one." When they asked him, he said, "Maharaj, in this birth I have not stolen."
The king was in great doubt. If this Vaishnav has not stolen in this birth, and we punish him, my doom will come. And he is saying he stole yesterday. This is the thief. So at that time, for a test, a peepal leaf, fresh and tender, was tied to his right hand, and it was wrapped with raw thread. A burning iron rod was placed in his hand. "There should be no blistering, neither the thread nor the cloth. Walk seven steps and say, 'I did not do it.' If this is correct, then you are truthful and you are not a thief."
He said in his heart, "Gurudev, you said that through diksha comes a new birth. Therefore I accept—this is my birth." And loudly he said, "In this birth I have committed no sin." He took the burning rod in his hand, walked seven steps, and threw the rod away. Nowhere was the thread burnt, the raw thread. The king said, "Hang the merchant!" The Vaishnav accused the merchant. But the thief who had become a Vaishnav felt compassion in his heart. The matter was this—he also spoke truth, Maharaj. He too is speaking the truth. He said, "Now it will not be accepted because you have given proof."
He said, "Maharaj, in this birth I have not stolen." He said, "That is what he is saying—he stole yesterday." He said, "Yes, yesterday I stole, Maharaj. Yesterday I stole." He said, "You don't understand my point." Then he explained: "Our guru said that through diksha comes a new birth. So right after stealing, we took diksha. So this new birth of mine, this Vaishnav now—in this I have not stolen. That's why I passed. But what he is saying is correct. I did steal yesterday. I am an old thief, yes." Such a great saint—with just his sight, just his word, he transformed you. "I want to have darshan of his feet," and the thief went to have darshan of Chaturabhuj Das.
So through diksha comes a new birth. Therefore now all of us—as many as are Harivanshis, who wear the Radhavallabh tilak—Shri Harivansh shugotra. If someone asks you, "What is your gotra?" Then it should not come that your gotra is Bharadvaja or Sandilya. No. Shri Harivansh shugotra. Of which clan are you? Of the Harivansh clan. You should not even remember that I am of some other clan. Only then will you feel joy. Only then will the matter work. First forget everything. Servant, Maharaj is saying: Shri Harivansh is my beautiful gotra.
Shri Harivansh su—means beautiful gotra, sugotra. And my clan is Shri Harivansh. And my lineage deity is Shri Harivansh. Among the beloved, the beloved, and the companions, present in Vrindavan—these are our lineage deities. This is our lineage deity. Shri Harivansh alone is our gotra. We are all of the gotra of Harivansh Mahaprabhu. So we are all Brahmins. We are all Brahm Rishis at this moment. Believe this. By faith the cart crosses over. Without faith, no bhakti. Without truth, no Ram.
Without Ram's grace, even in dreams the soul has no rest.
Hit Dhruv—if there is faith, then the matter will be corrected. Otherwise one wanders in the path of maya, bumping about. With faith: "I am of Harivansh gotra. I am of Harivansh lineage. My lineage deity is Harivansh"—meaning, present in Vrindavan, among the sakhis, the beloved and beloved, these are our lineage deities. So what caste are you? Harivansh caste. Our caste is Harivansh. Our everything is Harivansh. Shri Harivansh svarupa—Hit says: Shri Harivansh alone is our svarupa. Our soul is Harivansh. So what is our svarupa? Shri Harivansh. Just settle all these things.
Now nothing else should come to mind. Harivansh, Harivansh, Harivansh. What is our accomplishment? Harivansh. What are our ridhis and sidhis? Harivansh. Shri Harivansh shugotra, lineage deity, caste, Harivansh. Shri Harivansh svarupa—Hit. Shri Harivansh is our svarupa. And what is svarupa? Hit—love. And ridhi and sidhi—this is Harivansh. Ridhi and sidhi—Harivansh. Settle it. Our accomplishment is Harivansh. Our ridhi is Harivansh. Our lineage deity is Harivansh. Our gotra is Harivansh. Our caste is Harivansh. Our lineage is Harivansh. Our svarupa is Harivansh. Shri Harivansh svarupa—Hit. What is Harivansh's svarupa? Love, love. We too are love-form.
We too are of Hit form. Our very nature is Harivansh. The soul is Harivansh. Through the sacred saying you will understand everything. There are two sections in the Vedas. Two parts. One is karma-kanda and one is jnana-kanda. When Sevak observed both sections, Harivansh appeared in both. How the desire for the Beloved takes shape—Harivansh appeared. It is said: Shri Harivansh, the way made known in the Vedas. The method revealed in the Vedas through karma-kanda, who is it? Shri Harivansh. Shri Harivansh alone is the established knowledge of the Vedas. The method of karma-kanda, that which is known—that is Harivansh alone.
There is no other. This is tattva jnana, pure principle knowledge. Through principle knowledge, Sevak beheld his Guru Shri Harivansh Mahaprabhu, beheld him in the form of rasa, beheld him in the form of love, beheld him everywhere. Shri Harivansh alone is the established way of the Vedas. That is, the method of karma-kanda, which is the karma-kanda of the Vedas—that is Harivansh. We need not explain this to others. We need to understand that if there is a path in the karma-kanda of the Vedas, then the path is in Harivansh alone. In our vision, it is nowhere else. We need not refute.
We need to affirm. This is affirmation, not refutation, because it is said: the soul is caught in karma-kanda. So it is said: karma-kanda too is Harivansh. Shri Harivansh, the way established in the Vedas. Our vision does not see defects. It is the vision of Harivansh. Now it is said: Shri Harivansh, the principle of the Vedas. In this line both sections of the Vedas are described. The way of karma-kanda in the Vedas, the principle of jnana-kanda—Shri Harivansh, the way established in the Vedas. The method made known through the Vedas, the karma-kanda, it is said, is Shri Harivansh. And the final part of the Vedas, the latter part, is Vedanta—the Upanishads. It is said: in the Vedanta and Upanishads of the Vedas, the principle of non-difference that is described—who is that? Shri Harivansh. Shri Harivansh, the principle of non-difference, the non-different principle, the principle of Brahman, the principle established by Vedanta—that is Harivansh.
So Sevak observed: what remains? Nothing. Everything is Harivansh. Until this vision comes, sadhana is not true sadhana. Only when all moving and still creation becomes the Beloved does sadhana become true sadhana. Establish the principle. When I first met the Guru, our very first question was: Maharaj Ji, please remove my doubt about this. We are worshippers of Brahman in all. Maharaj, when he spoke those words with supreme intelligence, it was as if he placed a sheet of ice in my very heart—because the principle that the Vedas teach, Maharaj Ji himself was teaching. Our Harivansh Mahaprabhu also says: with full clarity, supreme intelligence, everywhere behold your Beloved. My firm resolve is this: everywhere the Beloved is present. See, behold.
Now the description of yoga is given. Shri Harivansh, the yoga made manifest. Shri Harivansh, the bliss of merit enjoyed. Shri Harivansh, the yoga made manifest. Shri Harivansh, the bliss of merit enjoyed. Shri Harivansh alone is the Supreme Self made manifest in yoga. In the meaning, it is written: through Shri Harivansh alone the science of yoga is revealed. It is so because he is the supreme principle, so he alone is the one who reveals yoga.
And Shri Harivansh, the yoga made manifest—when yoga is performed, the principle that is revealed is Shri Harivansh alone. Great bliss is coming because everything in the scriptures that came before is fulfilled in Shri Harivansh. If through eight-fold yoga in samadhi the Supreme Self shines forth, then Shri Harivansh, the yoga made manifest—yoga is revealed through Shri Harivansh alone, and in yoga, the light you experience is Shri Harivansh alone. Both things: Shri Harivansh, the yoga made manifest—yoga is revealed through Shri Harivansh alone. That is, what is the greatest yoga of all?
It is the yoga of love. That is revealed through Harivansh alone, and in the yoga of love, what shines forth is Harivansh alone. In Vrindavan, dwelling among the Beloved and the Lover and the companion sakhi, that is Harivansh alone. Shri Harivansh, the bliss of merit enjoyed. Merit means virtue. What fruits of virtuous deeds are experienced as worldly and otherworldly pleasures—what is that? He says: Shri Harivansh. Then whose bliss do we experience? Shri Harivansh's. Who experiences? Shri Harivansh. This is Shri Harivansh—bliss has come! How Sevak described the Mahaprabhu!
Everything is he, everything is he. Bliss has come, bliss has come. The bliss of merit—what is it? Harivansh. So who experiences it? Harivansh. The soul is Harivansh, manifest supreme bliss, the mind is Harivansh, consciousness is Harivansh, noble wisdom is Harivansh. Further description was given—further description: Shri Harivansh, the noble wisdom, the discrimination, Shri Harivansh, pure consciousness, companion Harivansh, tinged with love. O mind, the experiencer—the mind, who is it? Harivansh. So what is the experience? Harivansh. Harivansh alone experiences, Harivansh alone is the experience. Shri Harivansh, the bliss of merit enjoyed. Prajna Harivansh, faith in the evidence. The Beloved, Shri Harivansh, the Beloved. Prajna Harivansh—the Beloved. Shri Harivansh, the Beloved. Prajna means pure wisdom, supreme wisdom, refined wisdom, knowledge-full wisdom—this is called prajna.
So it is said: prajna Harivansh, faith in the evidence. Faith in one's Beloved and faith in all the evidences given for the Beloved—prajna as faith, the evidence. Faith means trust, the faith established for the Beloved, all the qualities and greatness and evidence given for the Beloved, the sadhana given for the Beloved, the Beloved given—complete faith in that object of sadhana. This is called prajna. Prajna—faith in the object sought. That is, the wisdom that proves through evidences, the wisdom that establishes through proofs, that supreme wisdom—who is it? He says: Shri Harivansh. In sadhana, faith alone will accomplish the task.
Shri Harivansh is. In the goal, belief speaks of Shri Harivansh. This excellent intellect that believes speaks of Shri Harivansh. Victory to him. And the beloved, Shri Harivansh, most beloved—our dearest beloved, the most beloved, the dearest beloved, the most beloved—who speaks? It is Shri Harivansh, the beloved, Shri Harivansh, most beloved. When you accept the beloved Shri Harivansh, then the one who worships him is the beloved. A devotee said: "Time is never wasted." Those who worship Harivansh—they are our beloved. None is greater than our beloved. Not the body, not life, not mind, not intellect. He is our beloved—the beloved Shri Harivansh, most beloved. Both the dear and the most dear are our Harivansh alone.
The dear is Harivansh and the most dear is also Harivansh. That is, the most precious essence is Harivansh himself. The tales of Harivansh, the songs of Harivansh, the qualities, the manifest, the hidden, the secret qualities of Harivansh. Now, as many stories as there are of God, as many histories and Puranas, as many tales and as many songs, as many qualities—what is all this? It is Harivansh. That means you speak Harivansh, Harivansh. You have read all eighteen Puranas, you have read the Vedas, you have read all the tales. Now you need nothing more. Shri Harivansh, Shri Harivansh. The tales of Harivansh, the songs of Harivansh, the qualities, the manifest, the hidden, the secret qualities of Harivansh. The tales sung in verses of manifest qualities, the histories, tales, and Puranas—all this is Shri Harivansh. And the hidden, secret qualities of Harivansh.
The hidden, mysterious speech, the unmanifest—where the words are one thing and their meaning another—that too is Shri Harivansh. Speak Shri Harivansh, Shri Harivansh, and the hidden mystery of the scriptures will illuminate in your heart. You have completed study of all the scriptures, because all the tales, all the histories, all the Puranas, all the mysteries are Shri Harivansh. The essence of service to Harivansh, all gathered—all is Shri Harivansh. The essence, the dharma, service, the essence—all is Shri Harivansh. The essence, the dharma. Maharaj Ji is saying: the essence, all gathered, all is what? Harivansh. The servant has seen what is the essence of all. Harivansh. And Shri Harivansh. The essence, the dharma. I have seen that the essence of all is Harivansh. The essence, all gathered. I have described this in my verses, gathered it there. And I alone uphold only the dharma of Harivansh. Just this—the attention, only on the dharma of Harivansh. For many births, the fruits of merit have ripened. If you have become a follower of Harivansh dharma, surrendered to Harivansh and become a follower of Harivansh dharma. The servant's intention is that with knowledge of all the glory of Shri Harivansh, I am upholding the dharma of Shri Harivansh. It is not that, like the ignorant, I have adopted this dharma without understanding and move in blind faith.
No, I have obtained the knowledge that Harivansh is the non-dual truth. Harivansh is the way of the Vedas. Harivansh is the Self. Harivansh is supreme bliss. All is Harivansh, Harivansh alone. Victory, victory to Harivansh, the world's auspiciousness, at the feet of Shri Harivansh I take shelter. Victory, victory to Harivansh, the world's auspiciousness, to Shri Harivansh Chandra who brings auspiciousness to all the world, I sing victory and in the shelter of the feet of Shri Harivansh alone am I.
Victory, victory to Shri Harivansh Chandra, the jewel of the lineage, the ornament of the Brahma sages' line. Victory to Shri Harivansh. Victory, victory to Shri Harivansh Chandra, the destroyer of the world's affliction. Victory, victory to Shri Hari Harivansh Chandra, the dwelling of Hari. Victory, victory to Shri Harivansh Chandra, spotless and radiant. Victory, victory to Shri Harivansh Chandra, spotless and radiant. Victory, victory to Shri Harivansh Chandra, the light of all the worlds. Victory, victory to Shri Harivansh Chandra, the light of all the worlds. Victory to you, victory to you, Shri Harivansh Chandra Ji. Victory to you. Who dwells supreme among the Brahma sages, most splendid—Vyasa Misra, the ornament of their lineage. The ornament of the lineage of the supreme Brahma sages—Shri Harivansh Chandra, victorious. To ornament means to increase splendor. Victory to you, victory to you, Shri Harivansh Chandra. Victory to you. What does Kali Yuga do? It spreads darkness of ignorance and spreads corruption in the world, the world's attachment, delusion, passion, desire and such things.
Such darkness of Kali Yuga, the corruption wrought by Kali Yuga in the world—those who destroy it, those who annihilate it, Shri Harivansh Chandra who destroys the world full of Kali Yuga's darkness—victory to you, victory to you. That is, whoever takes shelter in Harivansh Chandra, whatever degrading creation Kali Yuga has produced, all is destroyed. The influence of Kali Yuga does not fall upon one who ceaselessly recites Shri Harivansh, Shri Harivansh, Shri Harivansh. Victory to you, victory to you. The spotless, radiantly shining moon of Harivansh in all the world—victory to you.
The moon manifest in the world is blemished, yet this moon of Harivansh that has appeared is distinguished. Harivansh Chandra rains the nectar of love and relieves all beings of suffering. And this moon of Harivansh is spotless. The spotless, radiantly manifest moon of Harivansh—victory to you. Victory to you. Victory to you. Victory to Shri Harivansh Ji Maharaj. He who pervades all the world, shining forth everywhere. He pervades, he is everywhere. All the world shines in him. Harivansh alone, Harivansh. No one else remains.
In the vision of the servant, all is Harivansh. All is Harivansh. Victory, victory to Shri Harivansh Chandra—the entire world is illuminated by this alone, this is the only truth, nothing else. All is Harivansh. All consciousness is characterized in all, all is Radha-Krishna-filled. The world, sentient and insentient—whatever the world is, all is in Shyama and Shyam, all is in Harivansh. Without this, there is no completeness. Or not? Just as Goswami Tulsidas knew all the world in Siya-Ram, the entire world must be made into the form of one's chosen deity. Until there is this deity-form, the worshipper is not considered accomplished.
हरिवंश चंद्र अमृत बरसी, सकल जंतु तापन हरणम।
Harivansh Chandra rains nectar, removing the suffering of all creatures.
सेवक समीप संतत रहे, सुशी हरिवंश चरण शरणम।
The servant remains ever near, the lotus feet of Harivansh are sweet refuge.
हरिवंश चरण सकल जपन हरणम।
The lotus feet of Harivansh remove all difficulty in recitation.
सेवक समीप हरिवंश चरण शरणम।
Near the servant, the lotus feet of Harivansh are the refuge.
Harivansh, like the moon, spreads the rays of the love-nectar of the beloved pair. It rains love-nectar. With rays of grace, Harivansh, like the moon—Harivansh Chandra rains nectar on all beings here.
सकल जन तो शरणागतों से ही माना जाएगा।
All people are considered only as those who have taken shelter.
Only those who have taken shelter can receive it. From the rays of love-nectar of Harivansh, like the moon, the attachment to the beloved pair is only for those who have taken shelter.
For this reason, all beings—all beings means all creatures who have taken shelter, whoever becomes sheltered—they remove the suffering of all creatures. Such is Shri Harivansh Chandra. I, the servant, remain ever near him, and his lotus feet are my only refuge.
जहां श्याम श्यामा, जहां हरि, तहां हरिवंश।
जहां हरिवंश, तहां हरि।
Where Shyam and Shyama are, where Hari is, there is Harivansh. Where Harivansh is, there is Hari.
If the name is sounding, you are near Harivansh. The servant remains ever near, so Shri Harivansh's lotus feet are my refuge. Victory, victory to the section of Shri Hit.
First hear the name Harivansh. Say Harivansh. Obtain good company through Harivansh. Say Harivansh well. Hear Harivansh. Those who have always heard Harivansh have happiness, prosperity, and married companionship. Those whose Hari has heard Harivansh always have such prosperity. Those who have taken shelter in Harivansh are first given the name Harivansh.
Just as my own life came about according to bhagavatic principles even before I took shelter, our sampraday's way is completely as it happens according to bhagavatic principles. It happened just that way with me. I knew nothing at all. It happened exactly as it should: first, the name Harivansh is given to hear, then the shelter-mantra comes through the acharya, then one's own mantra comes through the knowledgeable great soul—such is the process. The entire thing happened that way. Sri Avyakt Hari graciously did it all this way. First hear the name Harivansh. The first work, even before taking shelter, is given for this reason: Radhavallabh, Shri Harivansh—recite this for a few months, a few years, then come to take shelter. In the beginning I recite the name of Shri Harivansh. First, hear Harivansh well. Recite Harivansh's name well. Now what will be the fruit of this?
हरिवंश सुधर्मन संग लहु।
Obtain good company through Harivansh.
Those who are lovers of Harivansh, those who hold to the dharma of Harivansh will receive the company of such knowledgeable ones. This is a very rare matter. Finding a bhagavat-lover is extremely rare. One finds bhagavat in the world, but finding a knowledgeable one—a companion-mood one with true affection for the beloved pair—whom they call knowledgeable (rasik)—is very difficult. The knowledgeable mark belongs to the sakhis. The knowledgeable mood is only for the sakhis. It is very hard. Finding a companion-mood great soul who serves the beloved pair with pure, true affection is very rare. Where will this come from? Harivansh says: recite the name Harivansh. Recite the name Harivansh. The name Harivansh will give it to you.
The name Harivansh will bring you the company of knowledgeable ones. It will give you the company of knowledgeable ones. I was completely ignorant. I had no connections in Vrindavan. From Maharaj Ji's mouth came: put the name Harivansh in your practice. At that time I saw the situation for what it was. I had complete lack of faith, because I was a renunciate. Where brahm-thinking, yoga, Vashisht—I had never even heard the name Harivansh in life. Never heard it. Never heard it anywhere. It's not in the Agamas, Nigamas, Puranas—that's something beyond words. So having never heard it anywhere, it seemed they were dragging me into their own sampraday.
Sectarianism—all this is not right. From tomorrow, I won't come. I won't even come to the temple. Because if I come to the temple, they'll give me prasad. If they give me prasad, they'll ask: do you recite the name Harivansh or not? Then I'll lie in the temple. I'll say no, I don't recite. Since I have no faith, I won't hurt them. But that's how it is—once the eyes are caught, where will you go? Where will you go now? Now you'll just be caught. How did I know? The name Harivansh caught me. This surely came to my ears: when I saw Radhavallabh Ji, Ananda Goswami Ji, who looked at me this way—being dark-complexioned—he said: You'll be caught, baba. You'll be caught.
He said: wait and see. He told Radheshyam Lal Ji. I just turned and looked that way. He said: wait and see the outcome. You'll be caught, baba. You'll be caught. Because when I saw Radhavallabh Ji... when I saw Radhavallabh Ji, I would just keep looking. For hours I would keep looking. This was a wonder. Sometimes I would hold them this way and look here, sometimes there, behind in the veranda, standing behind a pillar for hours—just keep looking at them—that was all. I took a staff and went to look at them for hours. When I looked, the desire came to go. So I took my water vessel. On Brajvasi Goswami's basis, I begged alms. I found one near Shankar Ji's temple. The cuckoo bird... in the Kokilasai... I performed ablution and came here. By the well here—there's a pump in this dark place—coming here, I rested. Then for hours, sometimes tears would come. Solitude, peace, the raw road—there was no circumambulation path, no one came. There was great joy. Alone. A completely blissful life. So first, hear Harivansh. Completely miraculous. The name Harivansh is wonderful. The name Harivansh worked a miracle—it turned the entire principle of my life upside down.
He overturned the entire life principle. The wonderful power of Harivansh naam—years later I said to Guru Ji, "Maharaj Ji, by your command, I recite the Chatuarasi. I do exactly whatever you say, but there is not even a trace of difference in my heart. We find peace only through Yoga Vashishta. When we read the teachings of Brahm, the Ashtavakra Gita, Yoga Vashishta—then we find peace. Then one day Maharaj Ji said, 'Come, let us go.' Maharaj Ji never presented himself as a giver, saying 'I am giving.'"
He simply gave. As soon as he arrived, he would lie down and sit and say, "Recite the Seval Vani." Just the mantra was flowing. To speak truthfully, Seval Vani is complete. There was absolute perfection—pure in thought, word and deed. All tradition. We who worship Harivansh—through one reading of the Harivansh in a single day, Guru Ji made us completely Harivanshi. That Kathā recitation—we memorized the complete Seval Vani daily, we memorized the Chatuarasi, we memorized the Putavani, we memorized the Sudhā Nidhi. Now the memory power has become weak. Otherwise, [this sama used to flow] in the parikrama. While doing parikrama, first listen to Harivansh, recite Harivansh. The fruit of reciting Harivansh—bring Harivansh Sudharmān. Whoever chants the Harivansh naam with devotion develops love for the Harivansh dharmi. They become like family.
"Whoever has dharma has love; if not, what use is being called dharmi? If there is no love for the dharmi, what does it matter to you being called dharmi?" Harivansh naam always—those who are Harivansh dharmi are great souls whose happiness and wealth is Shyamā Shyām. So those who chant the Harivansh naam—if they get the association of Harivansh dharmi, those who chant Harivansh naam and keep association with Harivansh dharmi—what happiness do they obtain? Shyamā Shyām are their wealth and prosperity. Two things: chanting Harivansh naam—the jap of Shri Radhavallabh Shri Harivansh naam—and association with Harivansh dharmi. Just that. Not other worshippers. Not worshippers. Many accounts, many teachings, many leelas—there are many devotees with many forms of worship and devotion. Those have their own. You should keep the association of the rasik great souls who are of your own taste. Otherwise, naam and vani will accomplish everything.
Through naam and vani, everything will be accomplished. We need not keep association with anyone else. That means much obstruction comes. If you become entangled, even your own dharma can trap you. They were telling about their own dharma. Someone said the next day, "Is there something above anyone?" There is nothing above Seval Vani—not even the Vedas. What of others? The Vedas are not—because what the Vedas call "neti neti" (not this, not this), that which is beyond that, whose description is being given—Harivansh, recite Harivansh. Through Harivansh you will find it. Through Harivansh Sudharmān—Harivansh worship. Those whose Harivansh worship is—whose happiness, wealth and companionship, whose Shri Harivansh—recite Harivansh. That is our only daily work. Shri Harivansh, Shri Harivansh, Shri Harivansh—just recite. Through Harivansh Sudharmān, through chanting Harivansh naam, through meeting Harivansh dharmi—I will tell you some practices through which you attain happiness and wealth as Shyamā Shyām.
A worshipper who chants the Harivansh naam, who keeps the association of Harivansh dharmi—I will tell him some practices. The practices of Sudharmān. Those whose Harivansh worship is—understand firmly. They will attain Shri Ji. They will attain service to Shri Ji. Those whose Harivansh worship is—their happiness, wealth and companionship. Accept this, accept this. We will attain Shri Ji. We wish to go into the service of Shri Ji. Our Ishta is Shri Shyamā Shyām. We do not wish to hear any other talk nor know it. Just this much should we hold. Chant Harivansh naam.
Keep association with Harivansh dharmi. Drown in the love of Shyamā Shyām. Serve them. Harivansh vani—the practice of rasa. Good deeds, association with the virtuous daily—Harivans association, there is nothing against dharma. Their happiness, wealth, and companionship. Those with whom there is no contradiction to dharma—the practice of good deeds and association with the virtuous—those who are great meritorious souls receive the association of rasiks. Thus Goswami Tulsidas also said, "Without a heap of merit, you will not find saints." Devarshi Narad also said, "Association with saints is rare." But he also wrote "unreachable"—unreachable because perhaps you might see your own fault, there might be impurity. You might observe their natural, worldly actions. Be very careful about this—do not observe the natural, worldly actions. I should keep my vision pure, that "My Lord, my Lord, my Lord." Then he said, "Certainly, you will surely attain God." Through good deeds and association with the virtuous daily. The meritorious soul, the virtuous person—the sinful person will definitely see faults. Whoever has a polluted heart will definitely see faults.
It is like a millionaire who wishes to hide his wealth and walk around like a pauper, thinking, "Thieves frequent this street, so I will pass by as a pauper so that no one knows I have wealth." Similarly, the leela of the rasiks is such that I will pass this way like a subject, like a worldly person, so that no one knows what category I am, where I am from, what I am. So seeing their small, mundane worldly actions and behavior, the sinful person—whoever has a polluted heart—thinks, "We thought it was one thing, but here it is something else," and then leaves. Through good deeds and association with the virtuous daily—the meritorious soul—"My life has been fulfilled. Oh, what fortune! I have received the association of the rasiks, their company." Harivansh vani—the practice of rasa. The discourse should be of Harivansh vani alone. The singing should be of Harivansh vani alone. And practice according to Harivansh. And keep association with Harivansh dharmi. These are the signs of one who is a very great meritorious soul.
Much merit accumulates. Then Shri Ji, when those of virtue abide constantly in the company of Shri Ji, She gives the company of Her own devotees. Go and meet those of virtue, constantly abide. When much merit accumulates in the virtuous soul, then the company of rasiks is obtained. And in the company of rasiks, by meeting them, we receive conversations about Shri Priya Preetam, talks of Harivansh vani, singing of Harivansh vani, meditation on Harivansh vani, Harivansh rasa and ritual, and the strength of selfless feeling—all of these are obtained, along with that blissful bhava.
He says, nothing is contrary to dharma for those whose joy, wealth, and spouse is Priya Preetam. For those whose joy, wealth, and spouse is Priya Preetam, and who have affection for Priya Preetam—nothing is contrary to dharma. Not a single action of theirs can be contrary to dharma, because their joy and wealth is Priya Preetam.
Through great merit, affection for the name Harivansh arises. Through the grace of the name Harivansh, the company of rasiks is obtained. From the company of rasiks, rasa and ritual are received. Affection for the naam mantra of Chaturasi Ji arises, and its fruit is the attainment of Priya Preetam. Nothing is contrary to dharma for those for whom joy, wealth, and spouse is the service of Shri Priya Preetam. Nothing is contrary to dharma.
Harivansh is constantly present. For the dharmi of Harivansh, there is only one thing—to offer praise. Harivansh alone, Priya Preetam, companion bhava, Vrindavan, the rasik folk, Yamuna Ji—just this. We should not discuss anything else. Those who constantly praise Shri Harivansh alone matter.
Harivansh is constantly praised. Through this praise, again and again surrender arises. When grace is felt from the heart, then again and again surrender happens. Even though we have surrendered many times, with each moment our surrender only increases. The rasiks describe the actions that strengthen the rasa and ritual of Shri Harivansh bhajan. The singing of Shri Yugal's leela stories, the eight-fold service of Shri Yugal, the chanting of Shri Yugal's mantra—these the rasiks strengthen. Through this, nourishment comes. For such worshippers whose joy, wealth, and spouse is Shyama Shyam, no family duties remain.
We should not now perform family duties or offer libations to ancestors or to the gods. When the ancestors come, what is an offering? Our everything is Shri Harivansh. It is accomplished. Harivansh, Shri Harivansh, Shri Harivansh—the singing of Chaturasi Ji and the eight-fold service of Priya Preetam. Just from this, everything is done. We need do nothing else. The dharmi of Harivansh does not perform family duties. Those who have no family duties—their joy, wealth, and spouse is Priya Preetam.
For those whose joy and wealth is Priya Preetam, there is no injunction or prohibition. For those who hold the Harivansh nama constantly—not for even a moment, not for even an hour does it decrease. For those for whom the nama is constant, there is no injunction or prohibition. Their joy, wealth, and spouse—there is no injunction or prohibition. For those who constantly chant, "Radha Vallabh Shri Harivansh, Radha Vallabh Shri Harivansh"—who constantly repeat it, not for even a moment, not for even an hour does it diminish. Not even for a single moment, not even for one watch does the nama ever stop. The nama constantly continues. Our only shortcoming is that we cannot sustain the nama.
All of us should hold it such that not for even a moment, not even for an hour does it separate. Whether for a moment or for a watch, the nama should not be abandoned even for one moment. The nama and vani should remain equally constant in it. He says, for those whose joy, wealth, and spouse is Priya Preetam, and who constantly, at each moment and each watch, perform naam jap—for them there is no injunction or prohibition. Everything is accomplished.
Today this date, this constellation, this eclipse—all of this means nothing to us. Radha Vallabh Shri Harivansh. From morning Mangala until sleep, to Shri Ji comes offering, raag, arati, service, worship, vani singing, vani meditation—these come daily. They come constantly. What day is it? What date? What weekday? What constellation? What eclipse? What month? What season? None of this concerns us.
In the eight-fold service of Priya Preetam, if we have knowledge of seasons and such, then to bring joy to Priya Preetam—if spring season has begun and this season is here, may this joy reach Priya Preetam. There is no injunction or prohibition. What does scripture prescribe? What does it prohibit? All of this is Shri Harivansh, Shri Harivansh. We have no injunctions or prohibitions.
The servant, singular in devotion, fierce in vow. This is a singular, intense vow. Harivansh sudharm—those who constantly perform it. Harivansh says, do not forget. Harivansh is the eternal treasury of those whose joy, wealth, and spouse is Priya Preetam. Those who constantly perform Harivansh sudharm remain in Harivansh sudharm alone.
This, which is our daily practice, is Harivansh sudharm in which there is no adulteration from anyone. And Harivansh says, do not forget. Follow the commands of Harivansh. As He said:
श्याम श्यामा पद कमल संगी सिर नायो।
Shyam and Shyama, companion at the lotus feet, bow the head.
तेन वचन मानत गुरु द्रोही निश दिन करत आपन भयो।
Honoring that word, even a guru-traitor, day and night, becomes their own.
In this ultimate purpose, not in worldly dealings, in the middle of the way life is lost. Those who do not make dharma their love—what has dharma become for them?
As the sevak, Shri Maharaj Ji is saying, what is Harivansh's command for the sevak? "Shyam and Shyama, companion at the lotus feet, bow the head." What is Harivansh's command? The own mantra. What is Harivansh's command? Radha Vallabh Lal in the heart, meditation in the mind, naam on the lips. What is Harivansh's command? Clear vani, Chaturasi Ji, the nectar treasury—in all of this we must remain.
Those who constantly perform Harivansh sudharm—and Harivansh says, do not forget. Look, we should not make a good impression. But when we see any rasik, whether a Radhavallabi or anyone else, our eyes should bow down.
This much should happen. Just as our children bow to us, you all bow to us, it becomes natural. So one or two children stopped and asked, why do you join your hands? I said, we are not joining our hands to you. We are joining our hands to our Lord. Our Lord resides in you. We are joining our hands to Him. We are bowing to Him. So it's not that he is our disciple - no, a disciple is just a play, a masquerade. I play with my Lord. I spend all my time with my Lord.
No one else. My Lord resides in every form. So:
हरिवंश झुक श्याम श्यामा पद कमल संगना।
Harivansh bows, Shyam, to the lotus feet of Shyama.
This thing must be remembered - no matter how much we are in bhajan, we don't think it's right to introduce ourselves. But through our eyes, bowing is essential. The moment we see someone, just like that we bow in the mind. Though sometimes we get the opportunity to converse and then that doesn't work out right. Even if we don't introduce ourselves, the moment we see them - whether it's a woman or a man in any form - we must definitely greet them. We must definitely bow.
This is the command of Shri Hit Harivansh Mahaprabhu. To chant the name of Radhavallabh Lal, to meditate on Radhavallabh Lal - this is the clear command of Mahaprabhu. If we don't meditate on Radhavallabh Lal through our heart and eyes, we will be called guru-drohi. Bow to the rasiks and chant the name of Radhavallabh and Shri Harivansh. And those who have received their own mantra should chant the mantras, read the Chauraasi.
One speaks - Harivansh never forgets the command that Shri Harivansh has given. Harivansh is always the treasure for those whose happiness and wealth is their Beloved. The Beloved takes the form of wealth, and service to the Beloved becomes happiness. Harivansh is their everything, their complete treasure. Their entire mind becomes devoted to Harivansh.
In Harivansh I am. Nothing else and no other principle. Everything is Harivansh, everything is Harivansh. The glory of Harivansh alone is known. The wisdom of Harivansh is proven. Harivansh is glory, Harivansh is the Lord. Harivansh is everything. Those whose happiness and wealth is the pair - the Beloved, whose happiness and wealth is Harivansh's glory, what is the glory of Harivansh? One must understand a little. In the complete universe and in infinite universes, whose influence is there - that is Lal Maharaj.
जैसे हरिवंश करत अपनो जस प्रगट अखिल ब्रह्मांडन अखिल ब्रह्मांडाधिपति है श्री लाल महाराज।
Just as Harivansh manifests his own fame in all universes, the ruler of all universes is Shri Lal Maharaj.
Infinite universes - how vast is the creation of the cosmic illusion, no one can comprehend it. Even the greatest seers and sages couldn't comprehend it. The Vedas didn't comprehend it. Just as Harivansh's glory, form, qualities, intellect, strength, Shyam is revealed, and such is Lal, the Maharaj, whose divine sport even for a moment is a vast ocean of rasa. The greatest authority is Lal Maharaj, and to those who have made Lal their own, the fame spreads across billions of universes.
तू जस कोटि ब्रह्मांड विराजे श्री राधे।
Your fame spreads across billions of universes, Shri Radhe.
Swami Ji Maharaj is saying:
तू जस कोटि ब्रह्मांड विराजे श्री राधे।
Your fame spreads across billions of universes, Shri Radhe.
And Shri Radhe is under whose command? Under Harivansh's command. Understand this firmly. Just as the beloved sometimes scolds and says:
तू सखी सयानी ते मेरी एक को ना मानी हो तो सो कहत हारी।
You are wise and skillful, sakhi, but you don't listen to me alone - so she says.
Then it's said:
जुत जुगत सो पता है मोहन लाल छबी लो अपने रंग रंगीलो मोहत विहंग पस मधुर मुरली रो ते तो गनत तन जीवन जोवन।
The ways of Mohan Lal, his beauty, his colorful charm that captivates like birds, the sweet flute - counting all of these, the body, youth and life itself.
So:
जय श्री हरिवंश हरि भजे भा चलो।
Glory to Shri Harivansh, worship Hari, come.
She set out with great longing and regret. To transgress the command - Lal, if anyone could transgress his command, there is no one in the three worlds like that. And if anyone could transgress the Beloved's command - Lal, that's not possible. And if anyone could transgress the command of the beloved sakhi - the Beloved Lal cannot transgress it. He even gives commands. He is the guru of Shri Ji. These are the guru of Shri Ji - the beloved sakhi. She is the most skillful in arts and music - Shri Ladli. Even where she becomes bewildered, she holds herself conscious and teaches. Therefore Nag Hari Das Ji has written:
हरिवंश गुरु राधिका राधिका गुरु हरिवंशी हरिवंश की गुरु किशोरी जो तो किशोरी जो की गुरु हित सजनी जो।
Harivansh is the guru, Radhika is the guru. Radhika is the guru of Harivanshi. Harivansh is the guru of Kishori. Kishori is the guru of the beloved sakhi.
So the greatest authority, who is it? The beloved sakhi. So understand Harivansh's glory. If you rely on Harivansh, then the entire department is under your command. And the rulers of all the billions of universes along with the Beloved - everything is this. This is the special thing. The key is not found easily. This is the key.
It is the key to Nikunj. The name of Harivansh. Surrender to Harivansh. The glory of Harivansh. If you know Harivansh's glory, if you read and remain in Vrindavan, then just remain. Then by Harivansh's glory, your boat will reach Nikunj.
सुख तरत निकट हरिवंश सेवक श्री हरिवंश प्रताप नाम नौका और निज खेवक भवसागर सुख तरत निकट हरिवंश।
By Harivansh, we easily cross near. The servant of Shri Harivansh's glory - the name is the boat, and the Lord is the boatman. By Harivansh, easily crossing the ocean of existence.
The boat sits pleasantly with wind. In which boat? In the boat of Radha Vallabh, Shri Harivansh. Radha is our boat. Nikunj - we are reaching by this boat. The one speaking is you yourself. The boat is the name and by the power of his glory, we are fearless.
By the power of Shri Harivansh's glory, we are fearless. Neither the boatman nor the boat is such that it could ever sink. It's not that the boat would break down somewhere and capsize. And the boatman is such that whoever has sat in this boat, he has taken them across. There is no one left whom he hasn't taken across. No matter how sinful they were, he took them across. So the glory of Harivansh alone is known. And the wisdom of Harivansh is proven. The teachings of Harivansh themselves are proof in their lives. The Mahaprabhu said this. Sevaak Ji said this. Vrindavan Das Chachi said this. Dhar Das Ji said this. All of this is Harivansh's proof.
The proof of their words is the words of Rasik Kavi. Just as any proof should be in the Vedas and scriptures to search for it. So here with us, the words of Rasik Kavi - Harivansh's proof. The words of Harivansh itself are proof for us. The words of Harivansh, the words of Sevaak Ji, the words of Dhruv Das Ji, the words of Vrindavan Das Chachi - these are all Harivansh's words. Harivansh's wisdom is proof. Those who consider Harivansh's teachings as authoritative, for such worshippers whose happiness and wealth is the eternal pair, Shyama and Shyam, Shri Harivansh is everything. Harivansh is everything. Those for whom Shri Harivansh is everything.
Just consider this—there's no need to wander anymore. By the grace of the divine, we are getting to hear the vani of the servant. Understand your principle. If we have taken refuge in Radhavallabh Shri Harivansh Mahaprabhu, then we are moving toward Nikunj. With firm faith in the feet of Harivansh Mahaprabhu, there are no rules or prohibitions. The respect of the rasikas is all that matters. One who does not honor those words is guru-drohi. A guru-drohi is one who disrespects the loving rasikas and great souls. Even if they curse us, insult us, or make errors, we should remain as we are. Look, there was a discussion that day—Bhori Sakhi was saying that even if they came with a weapon and struck me, I would still fall at their feet with folded hands. I would never look upon them with anger, never look upon them with blame.
This is the company of rasikas. This is the influence of rasikas, and let us perform naam jap. Vrindavan has already been attained by us. Now divine Vrindavan will be attained. There is no doubt about this. Jai jai Radhe.
